Cynthia Russell

Chief Academic Officer

Cynthia Russell is responsible for the ongoing daily academic operations of our partner educational sites and campuses. In this position, she oversees both our clinical education role and our operational role at the local campus level. Cynthia also helps shape the strategic direction and vision of Orbis Education.

Cynthia most recently was the Provost, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer for Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, where she led the academic strategic planning of a for-profit institution serving 6,300 students with a total budget of more than $53 million. Previously, she was Dean of Nursing at Samaritan College of Nursing in Phoenix and Acting Dean at Valparaiso University in Indiana. Cynthia has almost 25 years of experience in higher education, including eight in executive administrative roles. She has participated in many professional nursing organizations, and has published numerous nursing related publications
