Sam Sutphin

Mr. Sutphin is Chairman and Co-C.E.O. of Driver Holdings LLC, a company that traces its roots to 1989, when he and a partner acquired certain assets from Cummins Engine Co. Driver Holdings and its three operating subsidiaries, Driver Solutions, C-1 Truck Driver Training and Pyramid Financial Solutions, provide recruiting, training and financial services to the truckload carrier industry. Employing over 200 people, Driver Holdings manages eight campuses along the major freight lanes and finds jobs for more than 4,000 of its school graduates each year. In addition to serving as a Board member of several privately held companies, Sam is president of White River Management Corp., a company he started in 1997 to manage White River Venture Partners LP, an investor-owned small business investment company focusing on early stage companies in Central Indiana. Sam received his B.A. from Yale College in 1977 and his M.B.A. from George Washington University in 1982. From 1983 to 1988, he was a director in the Corporate Finance Group of Raffensperger, Hughes & Co., an Indianapolis-based investment banking firm.
